ELAINE S. BROWN Elaine S. Brown has practiced law in the Victoria area since 1993. Prior to locating to Victoria, Ms. Brown worked at the Texas Commission on Human Rights as an Investigator and the Texas Employment Commission as a Hearning Officer. She has authored several articles for the Victoria Business Magazine and reviewed legal textbooks for West Publishing and Prentice-Hall. Ms. Brown has represented clients in a number of mediations and recently completed the necessary training to become certified as a mediator. She also concentrates her practice in the areas of construction, contract, employment and collection law. Ms. Brown is active in community affairs as a board member of the Victoria Children's Discovery Museum and President of the Board of the Victoria Youth Home. She is a former member of the Victoria Junior League where she served on varioius committees. She is also a member of the College of the State Bar of Texas. A graduate of Brownfield High School, Ms. Brown received her undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University, graduating cum laude in 1987. She received her law degree from Texas Tech School of Law in 1991. |
