LESLIE WERNER de SOLIZ

Leslie Werner de Soliz was born in Detroit, Michigan and received her undergraduate degree and MBA from the University of Detroit, graduating with high honors. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of Houston in 1987, where she actively participated in oral advocacy and brief writing competitions, as well as teaching legal research and writing to first-year law students.

Ms. de Soliz has been board certified in Civil Appellate Law since 1992, and has extensive experience in both civil and criminal appeals, having worked as a Senior Research Attorney for the First Court of Appeals in Houston and as a Senior Staff Attorney for the Thirteenth Court of Appeals in Corpus Christi. She has argued before the Texas Supreme Court and the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, and is licensed to appear before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Southern, Northern and Western Districts of Texas. Ms. de Soliz has been the lead appellate attorney in cases that resulted in over twenty published opinions. During her years in practice, Ms. de Soliz has authored several published articles on appellate issues and has been a speaker at several continuing legal education seminars.
